Character Education and teaching respect building behaviors within schools has become an important theme within education in the state of Alabama. The Success in Stages program, Build Respect, Stop Bullying, is a computer-based program that helps middle school students increase respect and decrease forms of bullying. The program is effective with students for purposes in and out of school. We hope that every student at BMMS is able to get exposure to the curriculum. The Alabama State Department of Education has selected Bay Minette Middle School as a pilot school for the use of this program. Your child will independently use the computer program during three, 30-minute sessions if you allow them to participate. This program is of a positive nature and your child's participation reflects the positive school climate of Bay Minette Middle School.
