Read Across America Day was celebrated at Bay Minette Middle School by students releasing red balloons into the air, but what was so special about the balloons was the attachment of the students' favorite books, an explanation of why they liked the books and the authors. This year's featured title celebrates the 20^th anniversary of Dr. Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go! Students are hoping someone will receive their balloon and be intrigued enough to read his or her book and share with someone else. Balloon recipients were encouraged to email the librarian of the destination of the balloon.
