Bay Minette Middle School is off to a good start and working hard to encourage the students to attend school every day. The homeroom with the highest attendance will be rewarded with an attendance celebration every 20 days. BMMS had their first celebration on the Monday19th with Mr. Benton's 8th grade homeroom being the winner. The celebration took place in the Consumer Science room with the theme being "Citizenship." Mayor Tillery was the quest speaker. She offered the students some encouraging words and some sound advice, about having good attendance now, leads to good citizenship. She said, " Moving from good to great requires you (students) to be at school everyday, to arrive on time, and remain all day. These habits develop good character which in turn develops good employees." After her special words of encouragement the students enjoyed the refreshments and fellowship with each other.
